Our guide was Mijo and in a parallel universe he is a stand-up comic. He knew the facts to point out to us, but could go into more detail when prompted by the guests. However, it was his sense of humour that made the trip for me. His description of history using contemporary language (e.g. Diocletian tweets) was just hilarious. A great two hours.

Mijo, our guide, had a great sense of humour as well as giving us very detailed historical insight into the Diocletian’s Palace as well as the Croatian culture and way of life. He spoke loud and clear and the group was not too large (about 12).

We took the City of Split Walking Tour led by Mijo. This tour is a great introduction to the history of Split and all the sites to see here in old town. Mijo was a great guide, very knowledgeable about the history of Split and kept the tour fun and engaging. I highly recommend this tour and it is a great value for the money.

Our guide Mijo was absolutely brilliant and he made the walking tour one to definitely recommend. His knowledge of the city’s history and current places to visit was fantastic. He even extended the tour to places relevant to some in the group which was awesome. It’s a really great way to start your visit to Split as the tour shows you places to come back and visit more in depth on your own time. Would highly recommend!
